Prospects for expanding access to new markets for Armenian products discussed

Opportunities for developing Armenia’s export potential and prospects for expanding access to new markets for Armenian products were discussed during a meeting dedicated to Armenia’s economic development priorities, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said, noting that Haykaz Fanyan, Director of the Modex consulting company, delivered a presentation.

According to the ministry, the discussion addressed the current structure of Armenia’s exports, opportunities for developing export potential, as well as prospects for expanding access to new markets for Armenian products.

The presentation was followed by an exchange of views. The main approaches aimed at promoting exports and, in this context, possible steps by Armenia’s diplomatic missions were discussed.

The discussions continued via video link with representatives of the World Bank. The participants addressed the economic opportunities arising from the implementation of the “Crossroads of Peace” project, prospects for developing regional connectivity and the potential for expanding transport links, as well as the relevant research being conducted by the World Bank.
