Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and other senior diplomats joined Armenian ambassadors taking part in the annual assembly for a visit to the Akhurik border crossing point on the Armenia-Türkiye border, as well as the Akhuryan station of the Gyumri-Kars railway.
The diplomats discussed the significance of restoring and launching the railway and the ongoing work in that direction, the foreign ministry said.
Armenia’s annual conference of ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions abroad started last week in Gyumri. President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan delivered opening remarks on the first day.
