Trump says US will not allow Iran to mine Strait of Hormuz again

US President Donald Trump said American forces would not allow Iran to mine the Strait of Hormuz again. Trump made the remarks in a post on his TRUTH Social platform on August 25.

“Iran has been informed that any ship or boat that again engages in laying mines will be immediately and systematically destroyed,” Trump wrote.

He added that the US Navy command had just informed him that all mines in the strait had been destroyed. Trump said the United States was able to monitor every part of the Strait of Hormuz using space-based intelligence capabilities.
