BREAKING: Kocharyan arrested

Former President Robert Kocharyan and his eldest son, Sedrak, have been arrested as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, the Anti-Corruption Committee has said.
Earlier on August 25, the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia said that searches and other procedural actions were being carried out at several dozen addresses belonging to Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan and members of his family.
Bagrat Mikoyan, head of Kocharyan’s office, said that the former president had been taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee on the morning of August 25.
It was also reported that law enforcement officers had entered the apartments of Kocharyan’s sons, Levon and Sedrak.
