The Red Bridge checkpoint, located on the Azerbaijan-Georgia border, is one of the region’s main freight routes. Hundreds of trucks pass through it every day. In recent days, a build-up of trucks has been reported on the Georgian side of the checkpoint, with vehicles queuing on Georgian territory.

The situation at the border is particularly problematic for drivers engaged in international freight transport. They say waiting at the border creates additional risks for the cargo being transported and extra costs for drivers.
