Civil Contract nominates MP Sisak Gabrielyan to chair parliamentary committee

The Civil Contract faction has nominated its MP Sisak Gabrielyan to chair the parliamentary committee on Education, Science, Culture, Sport and Diaspora.

A confirmation hearing will take place ahead of a vote.

“This nomination is not only an honor, but also an opportunity to assess what has been done over the past five years, acknowledge what has not been done, and assume responsibility for the next five years. Culture is our value-based and civic identity, sport is the foundation of a healthy and vibrant society, while the diaspora is a global network of cooperation with the Republic of Armenia,” Gabrielyan said at the plenary session on Monday.
