Prosperous Armenia parliamentary candidate arrested in electoral crime probe

Former lawmaker Martun Grigoryan, who unsuccessfully ran for parliament on the Prosperous Armenia ticket in the June 7 elections, has been arrested and charged in an investigation into an alleged electoral crime, authorities said Thursday.
The Anti-Corruption Committee told Armenpress that Grigoryan was taken into custody and will be brought before a court, where investigators will petition the judge to remand him in pre-trial detention.
