Armenia, India discuss defense cooperation

On August 4, Ambassador of Armenia to India Vahagn Afyan met with the newly appointed Joint Secretary for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Defense of India, Amit Telang.

The meeting, which was also attended by the Defense Attaché of Armenia to India, Colonel Arkadi Tonoyan, focused on cooperation in the field of defense between the two countries, particularly in the areas of the defense industry and military education, as well as organizational matters related to upcoming bilateral visits, the embassy said in a readout.

The sides also discussed ways to ensure the continued momentum of bilateral contacts, further develop cooperation, and deepen the strategic nature of Armenia–India relations.
