“Congratulations Nikol Pashinyan, on your success in the elections in Armenia. In the face of far-reaching coercion and interference by Russia, this victory reaffirms Armenians' choice for a strong, sovereign and independent Armenia. I will come to Armenia as soon as possible—Europe's solidarity with Armenia stands. Today, we will also start our work in the new EU-Armenia Task Force to deepen our partnership,” Kos said in a post on X.
The new task force was first announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, who pledged targeted aid for affected sectors and deeper economic and connectivity cooperation with Armenia amid growing Russian trade restrictions.
