Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan lauded on Monday his administration’s “balanced and balancing” foreign policy, pointing to Armenia’s access to international arms markets and global technology markets.
“A balanced and balancing foreign policy does not mean doing anything abruptly or without formulas, and therefore both the establishment of balance, the restoration of balance, and the formation of a new balance must take place as smoothly as possible so that they remain manageable and no other types of counterproductive consequences occur,” he said on social media.
The Prime Minister pointed to the May 28 military parade as an example of the policy’s results.
“At the May 28, 2026 military parade, what you saw was the result of very delicate and careful work to balance military-technical cooperation,” Pashinyan said.
He stressed that the parade showcased military equipment purchased from up to seven countries, as well as armaments produced in Armenia.
According to Pashinyan, access to technologies used in some Armenian-made weapons has also become possible thanks to a balanced foreign policy.
“We gained access to those technologies as a result of a balanced policy—a balanced and balancing policy,” he said.
The Prime Minister stated that Armenia today has access to virtually the entire international arms market, as well as technologies of critical importance to various countries.
He said that the strategic partnership with the United States has played an important role in obtaining licenses for the export of certain technologies or their implementation in Armenia.
“It has been significant that we have established a strategic partnership with the United States, and that strategic partnership has borne fruit,” Pashinyan said.
