Armenia’s ambassador to Spain received the 2026 Gernika Peace and Reconciliation Award on behalf of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Armenian Embassy in Spain said.
Ambassador Sos Avetisyan attended the award ceremony held on April 26 in the town of Gernika-Lumo.
The prize, awarded annually since 2005, was jointly presented to the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan in recognition of their efforts to advance peace between the two countries.
