Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry meets with OpenChip management team in Barcelona

Within the framework of the Mobile World Congress (MWC Barcelona), Armenian Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Ruben Simonyan met with the management team of OpenChip, a leading semiconductor technology company, including the company’s Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer Therese Jamaa and Chief Hardware Architecture Officer Violante Moschiano.
During the meeting, the possibilities of establishing cooperation in Armenia’s developing technological ecosystem and in the field of semiconductor technologies were discussed, the ministry said.
The deputy minister presented Armenia’s strong engineering potential and the state initiatives supporting the training of a new generation of specialists in semiconductor technologies. Simonyan particularly emphasized the role of Armenian universities and research centers as a high-quality human resource base for international companies.
OpenChip representatives expressed interest in visiting Armenia to learn about the country’s technological achievements, ongoing programs, and to discuss prospects for further cooperation.
