Only Armenia can be the guarantor of its peace - Pashinyan

Armenia has peace today, and if it is not the guarantor of its own peace, no one else will be, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during the Parliament-Government question-and-answer session.

“We have peace today. And we have understood one thing: if we are not the guarantor of our peace, no one else will be, because only we need our peace. No one else needs our peace more than we do,” Pashinyan said.

Referring to the MP  Kristine Vardanyan’s observations, he noted that a few years ago Armenia had a security guarantor written on paper.

“We have refused that security guarantor and became a state. During the entire period of that security guarantor’s guarantee, we were not a state, and we were not even aware that we were not a state,” the Prime Minister said.

According to him, in a changing world, those who do not change will suffer the fate of dinosaurs. The Prime Minister did not rule out that within six months or even six hours the situation could change in such a way that many current assessments of Armenia will change.
