Armenian Foreign Minister holds phone call with Iranian counterpart

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan spoke by phone with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Monday to discuss the situation in the Middle East, the Foreign Ministry said.

“Ararat Mirzoyan expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in Iran, emphasizing the importance of reducing tensions and achieving a resolution through peaceful means,” the ministry said in a readout.

Issues of a “humanitarian nature” were also discussed, the ministry added.
