The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Larijani, said in a post ‌on X on Monday that Tehran will not negotiate with the U.S., in response to ‌a report that Iran is trying to revive negotiations with Washington.

"Trump dragged the region into chaos with 'delusional ambitions' and is now concerned about further casualties among American forces," Larijani said in a post on X, adding that President Trump “sacrificed American soldiers for Israel’s power-seeking.”

“Today the Iranian nation is defending itself, the invasion wasn’t started by the Iranian armed forces,” he said.

Larijani, who served as chief advisor to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated in a U.S.-Israeli airstrike on Saturday, said in a separate post: “We will not negotiate with the United States.”
