Armenian, U.S. officials discuss energy cooperation

Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Narek Apitonyan held a meeting with Andrew Platt, Professional Staff Member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee.

Representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan also participated in the meeting.

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure said in a readout that the officials discussed “the course and prospects of energy cooperation with the United States.”

The Deputy Minister highlighted the importance of launching new support programs following the suspension of USAID energy sector projects, taking into account the opportunities offered by the 2025 Memorandum of Understanding on energy security partnership between the governments of the United States and Armenia.
