Armenia, Uzbekistan agree to exchange lists of goods of mutual interest

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Georgi Kocharyan, met with Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khurram Teshabayev, the Armenian Embassy in Uzbekistan said in a press release.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kocharyan addressed the implementation of the provisions of the protocol signed following the first session of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and Uzbekistan.

The importance of holding the next session of the commission was emphasized. The parties presented developments in various industrial sectors in their countries and outlined potential areas for investment and cooperation.

According to the embassy, the sides agreed to exchange lists of products of mutual interest in the export and import sectors. They also reached an agreement to organize a visit to Armenia by an Uzbek business assessment group.

The embassy added that Ambassador Kocharyan also met with First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Olimjon Umarov, as well as First Deputy Minister of Culture Avazkhan Tajikhanov.
