Civil Contract reveals top candidates for parliament after initial internal vote

The ruling Civil Contract Party has released the results of its initial internal vote to determine its party list for the upcoming June 7 general election.

Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister and Civil Contract Chairman of the Board received the most votes, with 894, followed by Defense Minister and Civil Contract Board member Suren Papikyan with 780.

Economy Minister and party board Vice Chairman Gevorg Papoyan garnered 765 votes, while Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received 743 votes.

Civil Contract Board Vice Chairman and MP Vahagn Aleksanyan received 697 votes, while Vice Speaker of Parliament and Board member Ruben Rubinyan got 687. Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office and a board member, garnered 668 votes. Parliament Majority Leader and Board member Hayk Konjoryan received 663 votes. Speaker of Parliament and board member Alen Simonyan received 628 votes.

The top ten is followed by board members and senior party figures: Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan (620 votes), Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan (597 votes), ENA interim administrator Romanos Petrosyan (579 votes), Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan (554 votes), MP Alkhas Ghazaryan (523 votes), Vilen Gabrielyan (516 votes), MP Aren Mkrtchyan (500 votes), MP Armen Khachatryan (482 votes), MP Arusyak Julhakyan (471 votes), MP Hasmik Hakobyan (469 votes), and Gnel Sanosyan (468 votes).
