Armenian official meets Salesforce representative

Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry, Gevorg Mantashyan, met with John Banian, Data Cloud EMEA Practice Lead for Professional Services at Salesforce, an American cloud-based software company.

The meeting took place within the framework of U.S. Vice President JD Vance’s official visit to Armenia.

According to the Ministry’s readout, Gevorg Mantashyan presented the main directions and priorities of the Ministry’s activities, placing particular emphasis on programs aimed at the digital transformation of public administration, the economy, and society.

The importance of introducing innovative technologies, implementing the Cloud First policy, strengthening cybersecurity, and developing digital governance systems was highlighted, with the goal of ensuring more efficient, transparent, and accessible public services.

John Banian highly praised the dynamic development of Armenia’s technology ecosystem and noted that Salesforce is consistently interested in expanding innovative solutions into markets that prioritize digital advancement and talent development.

During the meeting, several key areas of cooperation aimed at increasing productivity in both the public and private sectors were discussed. The parties also addressed the development of secure cloud deployment models that would fully comply with Armenia’s data protection legislation and international best practices.

Salesforce provides applications focused on sales, customer service, marketing automation, e-commerce, analytics, artificial intelligence, agentic AI, and application development.
