Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan showcased some of the reforms and improvements made in the military.

He released another video on Wednesday, following an earlier clip.

In the video, Papikyan is seen presenting the renovated barracks at a fortified zone, also referred to as a fortified region — a defensive installation of the armed forces. The footage shows the available amenities at the facility, as well as the armory, the surveillance room, and the outposts. The surveillance system is connected to all posts monitoring the state border.

“In the surveillance room, servicemen have the ability to monitor the entire fortified region. They can also maintain communication with all outposts within the given defense sector and monitor them through their surveillance systems,” the Minister of Defense elaborated.

The minister also emphasized that the fortified region is fully equipped and ready to defend the country’s borders against weapons of any type.
