Armenia’s PM and NVIDIA VP discuss AI center and technology sector growth

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting with NVIDIA Vice President Rev Lebaredian.

PM Pashinyan and Lebaredian discussed issues related to the implementation of Firebird’s project to build an artificial intelligence factory and data center in Armenia, according to a readout issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.

Rev Lebaredian noted that construction of the center is currently underway. In this context, the parties emphasized the importance of U.S. approval for the export of the next batch of high-performance chips produced by NVIDIA.

The two also discussed the further development of Armenia’s technology sector and the introduction of artificial intelligence to improve efficiency in public administration. In this context, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for support from the private sector.

Rev Lebaredian also presented a project to implement an educational program in Armenia’s technology sector. Prime Minister Pashinyan welcomed the idea and expressed the Government’s support for its implementation.

AI startup Firebird Inc. received U.S. government approval to export Nvidia chips to Armenia. The project will bring the first large-scale AI data center to the region.
