President Khachaturyan, Kuwaiti Ambassador discuss bilateral cooperation

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Armenia, Muhammad Tareq Ali Al-Oraifan, on the occasion of Kuwait’s National Day, the Presidential Office said in a press release.
President Khachaturyan conveyed his congratulations and best wishes to His Highness Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, as well as to the people of Kuwait, on the occasion of the Kuwait's Independence and Liberation Holidays.
The President described Kuwait as a friendly and brotherly country of Armenia, emphasizing the importance of fully realizing the existing potential of bilateral cooperation. He expressed confidence that future-oriented joint programs could be successfully implemented across various sectors.
Ambassador Al-Oraifan thanked the Armenian President for the warm reception and the conveyed good wishes.
During the meeting, the sides underscored the importance of activating high-level mutual visits to further development and deepening of bilateral relations. In this context, they also highlighted the need to intensify contacts between intergovernmental committees and sectoral departments.
The parties discussed opportunities to expand cultural cooperation, attaching particular importance to the role of the Armenian community in Kuwait as a bridge for mutual understanding and the strengthening of cultural ties between the two peoples.
Both sides also stressed the need to fully utilize the cooperation potential, particularly in the fields of tourism, education, sports tourism, and student exchange programs.
