U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance’s visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan will take place after the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, according to the Associated Press.
At the February 6 opening ceremony of the Milan–Cortina Winter Games, the vice president will lead a U.S. delegation that includes his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
After Italy, Vance will travel to Armenia and Azerbaijan, where President Donald Trump has tasked him with “building on our peace efforts and advancing the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.”
Trump previously announced that J.D. Vance would travel to Armenia and Azerbaijan in February, without specifying a date.
