The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has adopted a resolution calling on Azerbaijan to release all Armenians held in the country.
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia and Head of the Armenian Delegation to PACE Ruben Rubinyan in a post on Facebook said the resolution, titled “Progress of the Assembly’s monitoring procedure,” was adopted in Strasbourg.
According to Rubinyan, the section on Armenia expresses concern over information about plans by several clergymen of the Church to seize power.
The section on Azerbaijan, he added, includes a call for the release of all Armenians detained there.
