Armenia, Moldova FMs discuss expanding bilateral agenda

On January 26 in Strasbourg, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi.
At the start of the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan congratulated his counterpart on assuming the chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the foreign ministry said in a readout.
The foreign ministers discussed opportunities for developing partnership between Armenia and Moldova and expanding the bilateral agenda. Both sides emphasized their interest in areas of common interest, including economic cooperation.
The sides exchanged views on the continued strengthening of democratic institutions and on mechanisms for effectively countering hybrid threats, including disinformation.
Mirzoyan and Popșoi also discussed cooperation related to the European Union, stressing their readiness to exchange experience in the European integration process. In this context, the upcoming summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan was touched upon.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional and international developments.
