The Armenian government vowed on Friday to care for the 11 individuals who were relocated from Karabakh to Armenia earlier that day.
Authorities announced that the 11 individuals—ten Armenians and one ethnic Russian who is an Armenian citizen—who had been living in Karabakh, relocated to Armenia at their own request.
“We are going to take care of our compatriots and one of our citizens just as we have handled the issues of over 100,000 of our other compatriots. Right now, our specialists, together with experts from our partner agencies, are working on their needs. All needs will be addressed—whether healthcare, social, or of another kind,” Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan told reporters, urging the media to respect the individuals’ right to privacy.
He stressed that the relocation took place at the individuals’ request and was carried out in cooperation between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
