Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the President of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, during the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, the president's office reported.
During the meeting, Vahagn Khachaturyan briefed the President of Singapore on the latest security and political developments in the South Caucasus, touched upon the overall regional situation, and discussed the progress of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process, and Yerevan's approach.
During the conversation, the parties explored opportunities to develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest between Armenia and Singapore. In this context, they highlighted the potential to expand bilateral collaboration, particularly in information technology and high-tech sectors, taking into account Armenia’s rapidly growing technology ecosystem and its existing international partnerships, including effective cooperation with NVIDIA.
The parties emphasized the promotion of economic, investment, and innovative initiatives, the exchange of experience, and the implementation of joint projects with private sector involvement.
Reference was also made to expanding bilateral relations within multilateral platforms and international organizations, and to exploring and deepening avenues for broader cooperation.
