President Khachaturyan meets Iraqi Kurdistan PM

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Prime Minister of Iraqi Kurdistan Masrour Barzani on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Presidential Office said in a statement.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Armenia and Iraqi Kurdistan in political, economic, and other areas. They emphasized the need to deepen ties and expand practical cooperation in fields of mutual interest.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on regional realities and current developments, underscoring the importance of strengthening peace, stability, and security.

The “Crossroads of Peace” initiative was discussed, and the TRIPP program was touched upon in the context of developing regional communications. It was emphasized that the implementation of such initiatives is in the interest of all countries in the region and offers broad opportunities for economic, transport, and logistics development.
