Yerevan mayor to run for parliament on Civil Contract ticket

Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, from the ruling Civil Contract party, announced on Monday that he has been included on the party list for the 2026 parliamentary election.

 “Yes, I am included on the Civil Contract party list,” Avinyan said at a press briefing, adding that the party board has confirmed his nomination.

The general elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 2026.
