Defense Minister chairs yearend meeting with top brass

Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan chaired a meeting with senior military officials to summarize the results of 2025.

Papikyan delivered remarks at the meeting, the defense ministry reported.

Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and Deputy Minister of Defense, delivered a comprehensive briefing.

Issues related to the readiness, training, and command-and-control results of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, the morale of personnel, and the priority tasks for 2026 were discussed.

The Minister of Defense issued a number of instructions to officials in charge aimed at strengthening the defensive capability of the Armed Forces and improving the efficiency of service organization.
