The import of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia is expected to contribute to a reduction in fuel prices by diversifying supply sources and strengthening competition in the market, MegaTrade told Armenpress.
According to the company, the imports will be carried out within the framework of agreements reached between the relevant authorities of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, in line with established procedures.
MegaTrade said the initiative represents the launch of an alternative supply route aimed at diversifying the fuel market, enhancing competition, and offering consumers more affordable prices, while fully complying with quality and safety requirements.
The imported petroleum products will be sold through the RanOil network of gas stations. The company noted that this is expected to promote more transparent pricing in the sector and contribute to lower fuel prices.
MegaTrade also emphasized the importance of stable and predictable supplies, expressing confidence that the involvement of new sources will help balance the fuel market and strengthen Armenia’s energy and economic resilience.
