Yerevan to open shelter for stray dogs

The city of Yerevan will begin construction of an animal shelter for stray dogs next year. The shelter will be designed to accommodate 300 dogs, and in addition to cages, the facility will include open-air areas, City Hall said in a statement.

The shelter will provide an environment where the animals can feel safe and secure. Officials studied international best practices while developing the project.
