Armenia, Luxembourg FMs discuss EU partnership, cooperation

On December 16, in Luxembourg, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel.

According to a readout by the Armenian ministry, “the foreign ministers reaffirmed the high level of political dialogue between Armenia and Luxembourg, emphasizing that it is developing on the basis of mutual trust, shared values, and common interests.”

“Both sides underlined that relations between Armenia and Luxembourg are of a strategic nature, as reflected in the joint programs being implemented, as well as in Luxembourg’s support for the development of Armenia’s democracy and resilience. Issues on the Armenia–EU partnership were touched upon, in particular the effective use of mechanisms aimed at implementing the new, more ambitious strategic agenda. An agreement was reached to continue developing cooperation in various formats. Views were also exchanged on regional developments," the ministry said.

The FMs then signed the Joint Declaration on a Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
