Boxer Hovhannes Bachkov advances to IBA World Championship semifinals

Olympic bronze medalist, four-time European champion and four-time World Championship bronze medalist Hovhannes Bachkov has advanced to the semifinals of the IBA World Championship. At the World Boxing Championship taking place in Dubai, UAE, from December 2 to 13, Bachkov (67 kg) faced Belarusian boxer Vadim Vauchok in the quarterfinals and defeated him.

With this victory, Bachkov has secured at least a bronze medal. Earlier, Artur Bazeyan (60 kg) also reached the semifinals of the World Championship.
