Pashinyan–Merz meeting kicks off in Berlin

Within the framework of his official visit to Germany, the meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has kicked off, reports Armenpress' correspondent from Germany.

The official welcoming ceremony took place at the residence of the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Prime Minister Pashinyan and Chancellor Merz continued the discussions in a private format, after which a meeting in an expanded format will follow. The Prime Minister of Armenia and the Chancellor of Germany will also hold a joint press conference.

The Armenian delegation includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, Head of the Armenia–Germany Friendship Group of the National Assembly Vladimir Vardanyan and other officials.

The German delegation includes German Government Spokesman and State Secretary Stefan Cornelius, State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office Géza Andreas von Geyr, Economic and Financial Policy Advisor to the Federal Chancellor Levin Holle and other officials.

The agenda of the meeting covers issues related to the development of Armenian-German cooperation, bilateral and multilateral relations, Armenia–EU cooperation, as well as international and regional developments.
