Armenian authorities confirmed on Monday that a discussion was held with their Georgian counterparts regarding the possible transit of Azerbaijani fuel.
"Such a discussion has taken place with the Georgian side, and we have received the published information," the Armenian Ministry of Economy told Armenpress, referring to the statement by Georgian authorities.
Georgia’s Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development had earlier revealed that it received a request from "partner countries" on December 5 for a transit of Azerbaijani fuel into Armenia. According to the report, Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze approved the request and confirmed that no tariffs would be imposed on the first transit.
