A no-confidence motion was submitted to Romanian Parliament on Friday, seeking the resignation of Romanian Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan's government, Xinhua News Agency reported, citing the country's national news agency Agerpres.

The Parliament's leadership has scheduled the motion to be presented in a joint session on Dec. 8, with debate and vote set for Dec. 15.

Initiated by the PACE - First Romania parliamentary group, the motion accuses the Bolojan government of failing to manage key sectors including finance, healthcare, education, social protection, justice and public administration.

A minimum of 232 votes is required for the motion to pass, per parliamentary regulations.

Speaking in Vienna on Thursday, Bolojan said the government would follow parliamentary procedure and that any no-confidence motion would show the level of support it holds.
