Kallas rejects possibility of Russia returning to G8

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas stated that Russia's return to the G8 format "definitely not" happening, as Ukrinform has reported, she said on a BBC Radio 4 program.

According to Kallas, ''the final peace plan to end the war in Ukraine must make a renewed Russian invasion impossible.''

"If we want this to end this for good, we really really need to have concessions on Russia's side," she emphasized.

Kallas also rejected Russia's return to the G8 format, as envisioned in Trump's peace plan for Ukraine. She added that this should "definitely not" happen.

"We can't go back to business as usual... how could you imagine that?" she stressed.
