Armenia’s economic activity up 8.1% in January–October

Armenia’s economic activity index increased by 8.1 percent in January–October of this year compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data published by the Statistical Committee.

Below is the year-on-year (YoY) data for the reporting period:

Industrial production output dropped 3.0%, amounting to more than 2.4 trillion drams.

Construction increased 20.6%, reaching over 551.1 billion drams.

Trade turnover grew 3.2%, amounting to more than 5.2 trillion drams.

Services grew 10.8%, standing at more than 3.3 trillion drams.

The consumer price index and the industrial production price index both increased 3.3%.

Electricity production increased 4.2%.

Foreign trade dropped 37.1%, standing at 16.542 billion USD. (Exports fell 44.7%, while imports decreased 31.2%.)
