Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker on Monday in Yerevan.

The Prime Minister welcomed Ms. Hooker’s visit to Armenia, noting that in recent times cooperation between the two countries has risen to a new level, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout.

Pashinyan said that the partnership with the United States is being perceived in a new light by both the Government and the Armenian public.

Prime Minister Pashinyan highly appreciated the contribution of the United States—and personally President Donald Trump—to the establishment of peace with Azerbaijan.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of implementing, in accordance with the planned timetable, the agreements reached during the Peace Summit held in Washington on August 8.

He also highlighted the broad and substantive agenda that has taken shape in Armenia’s bilateral relations with the United States, encompassing a wide range of sectors and areas.

The U.S. Under Secretary of State expressed her gratitude for the warm reception, noting that she arrived in Yerevan to advance the vision set by President Trump and Prime Minister Pashinyan during their meetings in August. Allison Hooker stated that she had come to Yerevan to discuss ways to deepen cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, infrastructure, regional connectivity, and security.

At the same time, she highlighted the launch of the bilateral working groups co-headed by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Sonata Coulter, whose purpose is to implement the bilateral agreements adopted at the historic summit and to advance the development of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP).

The Under Secretary of State emphasized that the continued cooperation between the United States and Armenia—together with progress toward a comprehensive peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the normalization of relations with Türkiye—promises to open the South Caucasus as a vitally important trade route. In her view, this will create significant benefits for both the American and Armenian peoples, made possible through the leadership of President Trump and Prime Minister Pashinyan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the agreements reached between Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Trump, the activities of the working groups, the implementation of the TRIPP project, and matters related to upcoming programs.
