Georgian FM praises dynamically developing ties with Armenia

Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said that the relations with Armenia have been dynamically developing in various areas.

She made the remarks during a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Tbilisi.

“Today in Tbilisi, we are hosting the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Mirzoyan. We are grateful for your visit to Georgia. It is a pleasure and a great honor for us to host you,” she said.

The Minister emphasized that the relations between Armenia and Georgia are based on a long-standing history of mutual respect and friendship, which forms the foundation of the strategic partnership established in 2024.

“The relations between Georgia and Armenia, and the friendship between our peoples, have solid foundations, and the strategic partnership established in 2024 is a reflection of this,” the Georgian FM said.

The year was marked by dynamic bilateral contacts, the Georgian FM added.

Delegations from both countries carried out a number of visits, Georgia hosted high-level Armenian delegations, and the Prime Minister of Armenia participated in the Tbilisi Silk Road forum.

Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili announced that President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan is expected to pay a visit soon.

“The friendship between our peoples and the ties between our countries find an intensive political expression. Relations are developing dynamically in politics, arts, culture, and many other fields,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. She emphasized that these developments contribute to strengthening bilateral partnership and implementing new projects. Regional issues and future steps were also discussed during the meeting, she added.
