Speaker Alen Simonyan meets with ambassadors of EU member states

Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, met with the heads of diplomatic missions of EU member states accredited in Armenia.

A comprehensive discussion was held on Armenia–EU partnership and various issues related to deepening relations at the parliamentary level, the parliament’s press service said in a readout.

The discussions focused on ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia, as well as the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and broader regional developments.

Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan also drew the ambassadors’ attention to the issue of prisoners, unlawfully held persons, and the missing persons, in Azerbaijan.

He additionally responded to questions raised by the ambassadors of EU member states.
