The train carrying Russian wheat to Armenia via Azerbaijan will arrive soon, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan told Armenpress in response to a query.
Armenpress: Mr. Grigoryan, does the statement by the Republic of Azerbaijan on lifting restrictions on cargo transportation toward Armenia also apply to shipments delivered from Russia to Armenia by rail?
Deputy PM Grigoryan: Yes, it does. At this moment, the train carrying wheat from Russia to Armenia is already passing through the territory of Azerbaijan on its way to Georgia. The Russian wheat train will arrive in Armenia soon. I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the efforts of my Azerbaijani and Russian colleagues in making this possible. This development is of great significance for strengthening mutual trust and advancing the peace agenda.
