Armenian weightlifter Emma Poghosyan won gold in the women’s 86kg junior category at the EWF 2025 European Junior & U23 Championships in Durrës, Albania, marking Armenia’s fourth gold medal at the event.
Poghosyan successfully completed all three of her snatch attempts, lifting 100 kg, 103 kg, and 105 kg, finishing third in this segment, the Weightlifting Federation of Armenia said in a press release.
In the clean and jerk, she lifted 131 kg and 136 kg, setting a new European record and taking first place in the event.
With a total of 241 kg, Emma Poghosyan was crowned European Junior Champion.
