Interior Ministry budget to drop by 2.3 billion drams in 2026

In 2026, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia will receive about 102.6 billion drams from the state budget, which is over 2.3 billion drams less than the amount allocated in 2025, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan told lawmakers on Monday.

“The reductions mainly occurred in two programs — educational services within the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the program for policy development, management, and centralized monitoring and oversight in the Ministry of Internal Affairs sector,” Hovhannisyan said.
