Speaker of Parliament awards UNDP Armenia mission

Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan took part in a ceremonial event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) mission in Armenia and the 5th anniversary of UNDP–National Assembly cooperation.
The Speaker delivered remarks at the event.
Speaker Simonyan expressed his gratitude to the head of the program, noting that the mission has made a significant contribution to Armenia’s democratic, economic, and institutional progress, the parliament’s press service reported.
The Speaker expressed hope that the partnership between the National Assembly and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) would continue, contributing to increased efficiency of the parliament’s activities and fostering a culture of a more accountable and transparent legislative body.
To mark the partnership—celebrating the 30th anniversary of the UNDP mission in Armenia and the 5th anniversary of effective cooperation with the National Assembly—the Speaker awarded a commemorative medal to the UN Development Programme.
