Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan, Investigative Committee Chairman Artur Poghosyan and other top officials of the law enforcement body visited on Thursday the southeastern border area — to monitor the progress of fortification-engineering works, the defense ministry said in a press release.
Minister Papikyan and Investigative Committee Chairman Poghosyan then visited troops at a military position.
A number of servicemembers who have distinguished themselves through diligent service were awarded certificates of appreciation and valuable gifts by the Minister of Defense and the Chairman of the Investigative Committee.
