Armenian Foreign Minister meets with Executive Director of UN Women

Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, during his visit to Paris, had a meeting with Sima Bahous, the Executive Director of UN Women (United Nations Programme for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women).

FM Mirzoyan and Executive Director Bahous discussed “issues related to promoting women’s leadership, also touching upon the steps taken by Armenia in this direction,” according to the foreign ministry’s readout. “Both sides emphasized the important role of women in the processes of reconciliation and strengthening peace between societies in post-conflict conditions.”
