Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Anti-Corruption Committee and attended an event dedicated to the Day of the Anti-Corruption Committee Employee and the fourth anniversary of the establishment of the structure, the Prime Minister's Office has said.
Pashinyan congratulated Chairman of the Committee Artur Nahapetyan and the staff on the occasion, noting that the formation of the Committee is directly linked to the 2018 popular, non-violent Velvet Revolution in Armenia.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the fight against corruption is one of the brands of the ruling political team. He expressed satisfaction with the Committee's increased activity in investigating criminal cases, stressing that all necessary conditions now exist for the fight against corruption to become more effective.
“The political will of the government in the fight against corruption has not weakened and will not weaken. This is our most important task, and we are making significant investments in corruption prevention. Today, our Anti-Corruption Committee has sufficient technical equipment, and I hope this will serve as a deterrent. Our goal is to prevent corruption manifestations through our policies,” Pashinyan said.
