One of the priorities of the European Union's cooperation with Armenia is the launch of the second phase of the Resilience and Growth Plan, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Vassilis Maragos said during the EU Horizon Europe Information Event held in Yerevan on October 22.
“We are working to strengthen EU-Armenia relations. We are working in the field of security. We are doing a lot on economic diversification, for example, to ensure the stability and growth of a free business environment. We are working closely with the government,” Maragos said.
He noted that EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos had discussed the matter with the Government and announced the launch of the second phase of the Resilience and Growth Plan.
Part of the funds will be directed to investments, another part to basic support for land development, and the rest to direct budgetary support and government grants for the implementation of specific reforms and other ongoing projects.
“We are funding some of the reforms that are being implemented. We are also actively investing in informal applications,” he added.
Maragos recalled that the EU had financed a number of joint projects with TUMO. “The construction of the new TUMO Convergence Center will be financed by the European Union,” he noted.
